Notella Energy Balls


This an ideal little pick me up snack to get you through the day. Instead of a processed cereal bar or protein bar from the shop, try make these in advance for a natural tasty energy bar. They last up to 3 weeks so you can batch make these with no worries. I find this particularly useful in the morning with a coffee before the gym. Carbs + caffeine is the perfect exercise fuel!


Makes 12 balls

Ingredients:

  • 200g mejdool dates

  • 100g oats

  • 100g dark chocolate

  • 50g almonds

  • 50g hazelnuts

  • 2 tbsp cocoa

  • 3 tsp honey

Method:

  1. Place dates in hot water for 20 minutes to soften

  2. Drain water and place dates and the rest of ingredients into a food processer

  3. Blitz until well combined

  4. With clean hands roll into 12 even balls
